It is with great pleasure that we present our 20th Annual Report
The past year has seen further growth at Neami with extensions to some existing services and the development of new services at Darlinghurst, Pagewood and Maitland in New South Wales. Neami was successful in 2007 in gaining Federal Government funding for two new programs, Personal Helpers and Mentors in NSW, and Support for Day to Day Living in the Community in Victoria.
Staff across Neami have worked industriously throughout the year to ensure new services were implemented and existing services strengthened. At the close of our 20th year of service operation, Neami will be providing services to 1200 consumers across the organisation.
Neami greatly appreciates the financial support, confidence and trust placed in our services from the Department of Human Services in Victoria, New South Wales Health, the South Australian Department of Health, the South Australian Department for Families and Communities, the Federal Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and the Federal Department of Health and Aging. OUr partnerships with local Area Health and Area Mental Health Services, local government, community housing providers, arts organisation's and local community services and has enhanced our ability to assist people experiencing serious mental illness to become part of their community. |
