Neami is a non-government mental health organisation that provides support services within a recovery framework to people with a serious mental illness. Neami staff use the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM) to assist consumers to build their confidence and skills to develop a sense of meaning and purpose in their life. The model emphasises hope by encouraging consumers to identify and enhance their strengths and values when working towards achieving goals.
Neami works to identify service gaps in the community and where necessary develop new services to ensure the protection and expression of the rights of people with mental illness living in the community are maintained.
