Neami Outcomes Research Project
Neami has been using Camberwell Assessment of Need and BASIS 32 as assessment tools for consumers since 2001. Neami is currently undertaking research into the changing profiles of consumers from entry to exit of a service via the use of these tools. The research will also look into the validity and usefulness of such tools.
This research is being undertaken by Kim Helyer, Outcomes Research Officer, Neami Business Services; Glen Tobias, Service Manager, Neami Darebin; and Tom Trauer, private consultant.
QUIT Outcomes Research Project
Neami has commenced research which aims to learn about the processes that people with a mental illness go through when quitting in order to improve smoking cessation interventions. Smoking remains below 20% for the general population, but around 60%-90% for those living with a mental illness.
This research is being undertaken by Kirsten Moller-Saxon, private consultant and Glen Tobias, Service Manager, Neami Darebin.
